Fuck the frames man!
I hate frames for the same reason everyone else does. In fact, I have a webring in which several of the members use frames. This causes everyone who checks out the ring to be locked into the past sites frames.
Anyone found a way to bypass or "unlock" the frames? I keep thinking of the song "Please Release and Let Me Go"!!!
Making "sticky" frames should be a crime punishable by slow torture - something slow, painful, and messy - kind of like their webpages!
Well, HATE is a pretty strong word. Obviously I hate anything that would crash my browser, waste my time or screen space, or otherwise impede my surfing. I'd have to say that IDIOTS who put HUGE pics and animations all over their sites to slow down my modem are a lot more annoying than most frame users are. (Ever heard of THUMBNAILS?) I did check out The Onion, and, on my monitor the frames weren't quite as obtrusive as on SOME SITES, where fully half the screen is occupied with the same icons and links that are available at the top or bottom of the "main" screen anyway! I did try switching over to 640x480 res to see what other people might be seeing, and the ads and menus did clutter the screen, leaving only a small corner to view the actual page in. Personally, though I feel sorry for anyone whose monitor is low-res enough to actually see between the scan lines! For these poor souls, just using a font larger than 10 points is enough to send them scrolling up and down like mad to find the info they need.
Ironically, I found this page while attempting a search for instructions on how to put frames on my OWN homepage. I never realized just what all the pros and cons are, although I have had a few bad experiences trying to set bookmarks or just trying to LEAVE someones hopelessly framebound page! After visiting this page and the I Like Frames page, I have decided that I MAY include a very small frame navigation bar at the top of my page, but only for those who want to use it, and only if I can have it automatically disappear when a visitor leaves. The frame would be no more than 10-15 pixels high, and made to fit within the width of a low-res monitor, containing only the vital icons necessary to navigate quickly thru my site. I don't know if all this is possible, but I have seen a few good examples of tastefully used frames that don't look like frames, don't clutter the screen, and most importantly, don't follow you anywhere.
What do you think, is there such a thing as a GOOD FRAME? Or is it kind of like a good hemorrhoid?
Frames destroy the layout of every site an make the Internet a world wide waiting place!
It sucks, it's ugly, it can't be viewed by some browsers
I HATE FRAMES!!!!!!! I have been to many sites where there's a form or a graphic or something you want and you can't get to it properly because some spastic added frames to the page, forcing me to read the source code to find out where the fuck the page I want is!! WHAT A TOSS!!! ARGH!
I almost put frames on my page. In fact i was searching the www for info. on frames. I found this page and my opinion changed, i relize now that frames are wrong and EVIL!

FRAMES FOR FUCKING FAGGOTS!!!
Lasse Birkholm Olsen
they simply suck, i f..... hate them
I hate frames...all frames!
Free On Line
Frames are stupid. They take up too much space, so you're constantly scrolling back and forth just to see what the person even put on their page. And when you want to go to one of their links, their stupid frame tags along with you everywhere you go! It's annoying! I don't want to see their frame, especially when I'm on somebody else's page! Not only is it degrading to their page, but also to others, who's page suffers because of the person who decided to put frames on their page.
I absolutely HATE frames! I feel like someone is holding me hostage! This is unfair surfing treatment!
I HATE FRAMES! It's not possible to drink that tons of coffe you could cook while frames are loading... My fitness trainer says I'd have to watch my weight and to move my body up from the chair at least once a week, but I can't 'cause I have to wait for the frames to load...
You never know where you are :(
I just hate them!!!
Different frames in a page take different times to load. Why can't the wholepage just flash out a one go?
And sometimes these stupid frames block off part of the frame's text causing you to scroll sideways to get a look. Just one full anti-frame page, and you can see everything!
Frames are a form of war against people who use the internet as a mean of communication, used by people who use the internet to flatter their EGO.
Andre Le Deist
Hope fully enough people will join your club and web designers will figure out that noone likes these stupid frames
I Really Hate Frames!!!!!!!!
i'll kill them all on my websites
Tremendous waste of band width
I create websites for some of my clients, and I always try to talk them out of it. Frames are the most useless, pointless, problematic, annoying threats to our world-wide-freedom to date. Break out today!
Frames suck. Plain and simple.
Frames, when they don't take long to load, are used as little as possible, and flatter the site, are bearable. Yet 99.99999999999999999% of the time, they are just a hassle.
They crash my browser, waste my time, take away my freedom.. frames SUCK!
I HATE FRAMES!!!!!!most of the time i surf the net on a unix shellusing lynx...there is nothing worse than seein eight zillon frames on a site!!!!it's almost as bad as people putting pictures on there page but no description with them!!thdyjtgukruk
Frames are for Netscape users.
The web must be free from rames !
The web must be free from frames !
i used to have frames on my site, but i still wonder why i tried to do it in the first place. i was never a fan; i just wanted my page to look "sophisticated." it was a nightmare for me to update, and i didn't want to treat my visitors to longer download times and being stuck in frames when they go on to other sites. so i scrapped the frames, and now i think my site looks so much more sophisticated.
how could you?!
framez suck because i like to see just about everything at once
Frames Suxx Bigtime
Ugh. Ugly. Bud surely must have mastered them by now.
There is only one sure pathway to hell, through a site with frames!!!
shit fer brains
The Internet's #1 enemy.
Worse than broken links or bad sausage.
In fact, they rival AOL... sad, isnt it?
They are confusing, they interfere with any kind of reading you may want to do in a website, they're stupid and I hate them! They take up too much damned space. They should be outlawed. They only work if you have a 19 inch screen. Stupid!
Frames suck worse than spamming! That's bad.
Nothing f%$##@ nice.....THAT'S for sure............I'd rather watch Coy and Vance(the cheesy replacements) on the Dukes of Hazzard outsmart Roscoe and Boss Hogg than most pages with frames.
Rot slowly, you b@st@rds.
Frames suck the life out of you.
The concept is good, but the reality is bad.
As if the World Wide Wait wasn't slow enough, or frustrating, they had to go and add frames! There are sites which use them effectively, but those are far and few between. Now where is the anti JAVA page?? I HATE JAVA TOO!!! :)
FRAMES THAT DON"t go away annoy the hell out of me!. When you go to other sites and it sticks around, that's when frames are abused
They reduce the screen space available for information, and are difficult to navigate. I hate them almost as much as those pages where every line is a different font, with lots of animated graphics, and no content.
What a WASTE of bandwidth!!! Why don't they just throw a few 150k+ animated gifs and some blinking text.. Oh, and you can't forget about those extra large 1meg background wav's!!!
learn how to make a table.
NO MORE FRAMES!!!
Frames, should be removed from future versions of HTML!
